There is a lot happening in 2024. Craft by Karlsson will be away on all sorts of exciting adventures, meeting friends and colleagues old and new. Several projects are underway. This means that this year’s courses will be concentrated into two summer weeks. But what courses they are! You can find them all in the online shop.
First up is Workshop Weekend, 28–30 June.
If you have been to WW before, you will recognise the atmosphere and many of the people. For many, it has become a regular fixture each year. There will be new workshops and some new instructors and speakers joining us. Tickets will be released around the end of February and beginning of March. The programme will be published about two weeks before WW2024.
Next comes Bushcraft Basic, levels 1 and 2, run in collaboration with Bushcraft Sverige. You will learn the basics of outdoor living: what to consider when sleeping outdoors, making equipment, handling knives, axes and saws, putting up a tarp, and much more.
Fish and Fur — hide tanning. 5–7 July.
I am thrilled to have another opportunity to organise a course with Dr Theresa Emmerich this year. She dispels many myths about tanning and teaches you, among other things, to do the right things at the right time — which saves an enormous amount of work. On this course you will tan fox and fish skins to take home afterwards. It is an approachable course packed with knowledge and experience. Take this opportunity to learn hide tanning from one of the best in the world.
You would be hard pressed to find a more badass PhD! 🙂 Theresa also took part in season 8 of the television series Alone, giving an admirable performance.
