Description
Inspired by an eighteenth-century Mexican fire steel called Chispa, meaning “spark”. A square hole often indicates that it was punched with a drift rather than drilled. Using ancient techniques and only occasionally resorting to machinery is important to me. This adds to the production cost, but allows more of the craftsmanship to show in the finished piece.
A sharpening stone on the back makes it easy to maintain your knife’s edge.
