Description
We have greatly reduced advance ticket numbers for this gathering to follow the prevailing guidance.
We will spend a day outdoors exploring bushcraft. An easy walk in beautiful Kinnekulle will introduce different outdoor and bushcraft skills. No previous experience is needed, and the gathering is family-friendly. Bring clothing suitable for the weather, an extra warm layer, a sit mat or similar, a mug, a knife and perhaps some fruit or another snack. Soup will be served outdoors along the way.
Tracking: What it is, why it is so enjoyable and what it can be used for.
Fire skills: Fire is fundamental to us, and many people know the magic of sitting around a fire with friends on a dark evening. We will cover what to consider before, during and after lighting a fire, including simple useful tips that are often forgotten. During the walk, we will collect suitable fire-lighting materials.
We will remain open to what we find and see, and to spontaneous conversations, making this a day with plenty of room for the unexpected.
Covid-19: The gathering follows the Swedish Public Health Agency’s guidance and will be adapted so that everyone can enjoy themselves and feel safe.
Food: A welcome sandwich, soup lunch with sourdough bread, and refreshments before departure.
Date and time: 10:00–15:00, 9 January 2021.
Location: Hällekis, Götene, Kinnekulle, at the Craft by Karlsson cabin. Map.
Organised jointly by Craft By Karlsson, Nordic Bushcraft and Bushcraft Sverige.
